Alejandro Jonah Cardenas, 18, of Peotone, IL was sent to Heaven on Sunday September 10, 2023.
He was born on July 29, 2005 in Chicago, IL to Oscar and Teresa Cardenas (nee Hernandez) and was the 2 of 4 children in a loving family. Alejandro was a recent 2023 graduate of Peotone High School. He loved all sports, but you could always find him on the football field or the wrestling mat.
Alejandro was one of the most positive, uplifting, and unselfish people. He was always helping other people and motivating them to do their best. Alejandro would also stand up for the little guy and make sure everyone was included and was having fun. His gleaming smile will be truly missed by everyone.
He is survived by his loving parents Oscar and Teresa; cherished brothers Carlos, Adan and Adrian Cardenas; beloved grandmother Juan A Ramirez Nunez and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Joan Sampognaro Hernandez.
A visitation will be held on Friday September 15, 2023 from 2-8 pm at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home 112 W Main St, Peotone, IL 60468. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday September 16, 2023 at Saint Paul Catholic Church 511 N Conrad St, Peotone, IL 60468 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Peotone Cemetery.
