Beverly Castens-Jones

Beverly Jean Castens-Jones, age 93, formerly of Frankfort, IL,  passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Beecher Manor in Beecher, IL.

She was born on August 11, 1926 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Arthur and Grace (Allison) Carlson.  She married Albert Castens on October 13, 1946.  He passed away in 1984.  She married her second husband, Larry Jones on April 16, 1992.  He passed away on June 20, 1996.  She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, playing Bunco, and watching games shows; especially The Wheel of Fortune.  She collected owl figurines and loved all things Wizard of Oz.

She is survived by her children; Kathy Lipe of Murphysboro, IL, Gail (David) Bohn of Beecher, IL, and Gary (Karol) Castens of Peoria, IL; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands; a daughter, Diane Hydo; a sister, Geraldine Jewell, and a grandson, George Schaefer.

Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Saturday, July 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with funeral services being held at 12:00 p.m., David Alo officiating.  The funeral service will also be live-streamed on the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home Facebook page at 12:00 p.m.  The wearing of a face-mask will be required to attend the visitation and funeral service.  Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Frankfort, IL.  Memorials to the family’s wishes would be appreciated.
