Bruno J. Modolo, age 72, of Peotone, formerly of the Roseland-Pullman area, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Bruno was born on April 7, 1944 in Chicago, the son of the late Bruno and Carmela (Ferazza) Modolo. He was the former owner-operator of Central Auto Body in Peotone and a retired auto body repairman. He was an active member of the X-line Sportsmans Club, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved to bake Italian bread for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Michaelene “Mickie” (DeNardi) Modolo of Peotone who he married on June 19, 1965 in Chicago. He is also survived by three children; Christine (Robert) Welsh of Manteno, Dana (Jerome) Jacobucci of Manteno, and Bruno (Kirsten) Modolo of Peotone; six grandchildren, Andrew (Ashley) Welsh, Danielle Welsh., James (Amanda) Porter, Alyssa Jacobucci, Jillian Jacobucci, and Stevie Nowman; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Porter and Nolan Martin; and one sister, Carla Brazzale.
Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, December 22 from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, December 23 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Dan Horton officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. Memorials to the family’s wishes would be appreciated.
