Carie L. Fabian

     Carie L. Fabian, age 49, of Peotone, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

     She was born on September 18, 1974, in Kankakee, IL, the daughter of Robert and Cindy (Mitchell) Fabian.  Carie was a Peotone High School graduate, class of 1992.  She then attended college to become a medical assistant.  She worked in Dr. Ansari’s office at the Riverside Bourbonnais campus.  Carie was a big fan of Halloween and television cooking shows.  She loved her cats and her cars.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her daughter, Makenzie, who was the light of her life.  She especially enjoyed watching Makenzie dance and attending all her competitions. 

     She is survived by her parents, Robert and Cindy Fabian of Peotone; and her daughter, Makenzie Fabian of Peotone.  She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her brother, William “Billy” Fabian (November 8, 1998); her maternal grandparents, Howard and Imogene Mitchell; and her paternal grandparents, Robert and Lois Fabian.

     Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Peotone Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.  Share a memory at www.feddehelfrichcrossfh.com
