Carole R. Reichert

Carole R. Reichert, age 104, of Peotone, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Beecher Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, 

 She was born on December 20, 1919, in Kankakee, IL, the daughter of Ernest and Anna (Klein) Ely. Carole was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone. She was an accomplished artist who enjoyed painting, coloring, and creating beautiful ceramic pieces. She was always working on some type of art project. She also loved dancing with her husband. Carole was a sweet soul who always did what she could to help her family and friends. She loved her family very much. 

 Carole is survived by her children; David (Kathy) Meyer, Ardythe (Michael) Duell, and Julie (Joe) Pilbeam; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild with another on the way.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lavern “Sonny” Meyer (July 1, 1962); her second husband, Richard Reichert (June 28, 2016); and her son, Alan J. Meyer (August 7, 2013). 

 Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial committal service will be held on a future date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
