Chad Carder

Chad Carder, 47 of Peotone, IL passed away Thursday March 17, 2016 at Presence St. Mary Hospital in Kankakee, IL. Chad was born on November 4, 1968 in Lincoln, IL the son of Duane and Clem Carder. He is survived by his wife Deborah Carder, his parents and his brother Scot (Amber) Carder. Many adoring nieces, nephews and in-laws also survive. His grandparents precede him in death. While his home was in Illinois, his heart was in Alabama with his extended family. Chad’s favorite place to be was on the water in the Gulf Coast. It was during his frequent summer visits to the South that he became an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Football fan (Roll Tide). If not on the water, you could find Chad fishing with his nephews, golfing with his dad and brother, or traveling with family. Chad never turned down a friend in need, volunteered at local charities and was an active member of his church. He had a love for life and a big heart. Visitation will be held Sunday March 20, 2016 from 1-5 p.m. at Fedde Helfrich Cross Funeral Home in Peotone. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone. Father Denis White will officiate. Burial will be at Peotone Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois. (www.illinois.wish.org).
