Coleen J. Stoeff

     Coleen J. Stoeff, age 80, of Mokena, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Dimensions Living in Burr Ridge, IL.

     She was born on August 8, 1942 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Edward “Deebo” and Eileen (Stevens) Morrison.  Coleen worked for the United States Post Office retiring in 1980.  She was an Illinois Multiple Sclerosis Society volunteer and received the Volunteer of the Year award in 2016.  She was active in the South Cook County Multiple Sclerosis Self-Help Group and participated and volunteered for many Multiple Sclerosis fundraiser walks.  She was a former member and past president of the Mokena Women’s Club. 

     She is survived by her husband, Terry Stoeff of Mokena, IL who she married on February 2, 1980 in Riverdale, IL; her son and daughter-in-law, Gregory Schirato and Julie Henning; her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and John Drechny of Venice, FL; 7 grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sherry Morrison of Peotone; her niece, Sheila (James) Zdzinicki of Peotone, a great-niece; and a great-nephew.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Matthew Stoeff.

     Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with funeral services being held at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Richard Young officiating.  Burial will be at Peotone Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the South Cook Multiple Sclerosis Self-Help Group.  Share a memory at www.feddehelfrichcrossfh.com
