Darlene E. Cowen

     Darlene E. Cowen, age 86, of Monee, IL,  passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL.

     She was born on May 17, 1937, in Monee, IL, the daughter of Milton and Elvaretta (Gardner) Arnold.  She married Clarence H. Cowen on March 17, 1956, in Tinley Park, IL.  He passed away on July 7, 2015.  Darlene was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Monee,

     She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Erik Halverson of Peotone; her grandchildren, Brian, Alex, Ashley (Collin), Alyssa, Justin (Mimi), Jesse (Kirsten), Erika, and Jack; her great-grandchildren, Rocky, Mila, Jesse Jr., Barrett, and Liam; and a daughter-in-law, Cynthia Feland.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence; her son, Scott Cowen; her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Ellen Cowen; and her granddaughter, Kimberly.
