David E. Birch, age 71, of Monee, IL, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Franciscan St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields.
David was born on September 22, 1945 in Piper City, IL, the son of the late Benton and Mabel (Clemmons) Birch. He was a lifelong farmer and retired plumber. He enjoyed stock cars and motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne K. (Corban) Birch; three daughters, Lisa (Tim) Shackley of Minooka, Rebecca (Jim Guenette) Birch of Monee, and Amy (James Kraus) Birch of Momence; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Anna, Dylan and Mya.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home in Peotone on Thursday, October 20 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow visitation at 6:00 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials to the family’s wishes would be appreciated.
