Dolores Soukup

Dolores M. Soukup, age 74, of Peotone, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at her home.
She was born September 30, 1940 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late William and Esther (Mullally) Halpin. She was a retired rural mail carrier in Peotone. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone where she was a past Eucharistic Minister. She was also a former Girl Scout Leader.
She is survived by her husband, James L. Soukup of Peotone who she married on December 10, 1970 in Chicago, IL. She is also survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Norman) Wyse of Ottawa, IL and her sister, Madonna (Corky) Albiero of Big Rock, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, William P. Halpin.
Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, November 14 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 15 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone at 10:00 a.m., Father Denis White officiating. There will be prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. prior to mass. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family’s wishes would be appreciated.
