Donald T. Karas Sr.

    Donald T. Karas Sr., age 77, of Peotone, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Citadel of Kankakee.

     He was born on March 29, 1946, in Chicago, the son of John and Elizabeth “Lotti” Karas.  He married Judith (Kurtz) Karas on November 4, 1981.  She passed away on October 6, 2022.  Donald was a United States Army Vietnam veteran and was a retired truck driver.

     He is survived by three sons; Donald J. (Suzy) Karas of Manteno, Robert J. (Annie) Karas of Aurora, and Richard Karas of Peotone; and two grandchildren, Josephine and Konor Karas.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judith: and a brother, Ronald Karas.

     Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday,  August 17, 2023 from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. with funeral services and military honors being held at 6:00 p.m.

Interment will be private.  Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.
