Donald Thurman, Jr.

Donald E. Thurman, Jr., age 66, of Peotone, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Amita Health St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, IL.

He was born on November 15, 1955 in Chicago, IL, the son of Donald E., Sr. and Juanita (Engle) Thurman.  Donald was a United States Navy veteran and worked his entire life as a truck driver.

He is survived by his family, Harriet Thurman, Connie (Harry) Timmer, Linda (Ken) Emery, Michael Munger, Nichole Smith, Kelly (Evan) Graves, Matthew (Andy) Schroth, Jay (Brianna) Thurman, Robert Barnett, Leslie (Devon) Seemann, Melinda (Rickey) Van Dine, Carrie (Zachary) Thomas, Derek (Tasia) Munger, John Schroth, Adrianna Dietz, Chloe Forgett, Jasmine Seemayer, Deacon Forgett, Mason Seemann, Kinsley Thurman, Max Munger, and JoJo Munger.  He was preceded in death by his parents and by his lifelong partner, Judy Schroth.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Committal services and military honors will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL at a later date.  Memorials may be directed to the wishes of the family.
