Donna Rae Froehner

 Donna Rae Froehner, age 76, of Peotone, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at her home surrounded by her girls. 

 She was born on November 30, 1947 in Manhattan, IL, the daughter of Lloyd and Muriel (Bringelson) Bisping. Donna married Ralph Froehner on November 2, 1974, at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone. She worked as a hairdresser for over 40 years in Peotone first starting with her own shop, The Beauty Nook. She then went to work at Judi’s Shear Pleasure until her retirement in 2022. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and the Peotone American Legion Auxiliary. Donna loved spending time with her family and extended family, especially her grandchildren.

 She is survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Joe Iwanus of Manteno and Angela and Craig Wojciechowski of Beecher; her grandchildren, Macy and Nick Iwanus, Ayla Froehner, and Dane Wojciechowski; her brother-in-law, George Krankoski of Frankfort; numerous nieces and nephews, and the entire Maple Lane gang. Donna was a very special aunt to Leann Moore, Nancy Cross, Scott Bisping, and Melissa Hupe. The family gives special thanks to Donna’s caregivers; Gladys, Marilyn, and Kris. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Muriel Bisping; her husband, Ralph Froehner; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene (Jeannie) Bisping, Glenn (Florence) Bisping, and LeRoy (Audrea) Bisping; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty (Wally) Hack; and a sister, Joyce Krankoski. 

 A visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., Nancy Wheeler officiating. Pedestrian traffic in front of the funeral home will be open and access may be made through the front door. Additional parking will be available in the parking lot of Christ Community Church, 103 W. Corning Ave., Peotone, IL.  You then can enter through the back door of the funeral home.  Burial will be at Peotone Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Uplifted Care Hospice or the Peotone American Legion Auxiliary.
