Duane Lorenz Temme

 Duane Lorenz Temme, 78, of Peotone, IL, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, July 1, 2024. 

 He was born on July 3, 1945, in Kankakee, IL, to Lorenz and Ruth (Drecksler) Temme. Duane joined the United States Army in 1967-1971 and served in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He worked at Mobil Chemical/Pactiv for 32 years in Frankfort. Then Duane retired to farm the Cloversite Farm in Beecher with his Red International Harvester Tractors.

 Duane married Lynn Froehner in 1971 and had 3 children; Jeffrey (Nicole) Temme, Brenda (Ron) Temme, and Deanna (Erik) Greenquist; and grandchildren, Brandon and Brianne Temme (Jeff) and Lyndsey, Anna, and Allison Greenquist (Deanna). He is also survived by his brother, Veryl Temme.

 Duane loved to travel, enjoyed his grandchildren, and considered his home in the country as paradise.

Private services will be held on a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Memorials in his name may be made to Uplifted care Hospice in Bourbonnais, IL.
