Dylan W. Nietfeldt

     Dylan Werner Nietfeldt, age 28, resident of Peotone, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023. Dylan is survived by his parents Lisa (Werner) and Kevin Nietfeldt, his brother Jacob Nietfeldt, and his grandparents Marge and Dene Soellner and Joyce and Ron Werner. He also leaves behind his aunts and uncles Scott (Suzette) Nietfeldt, Jeff (Jennifer) Werner, Dave Werner, Andy (Suzie) Werner, John (Jennie) Werner, Marty (Jennifer) Soellner, and Daphne Soellner, several loving cousins, and many close friends. Dylan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Milton Nietfeldt.

     Dylan was a 2013 graduate of Peotone High School, where he played on the golf and baseball teams. Dylan was an active member of the United States Trotting Association and a former baseball player for the Wil Kan Travel Baseball Team. He was a proud horse owner and could nearly always be found at the horse track or farm. Dylan was an avid fan of horse racing and collecting Chicago sports memorabilia, and he always enjoyed golfing and watching sports with his family and friends. Dylan was a strong willed and stubborn entrepreneurial spirit, but he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He would do anything to help a friend in need, and he will be missed dearly by all.

     The family will receive friends for visitation at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, 112 W. Main St., Peotone, IL 60468 on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 2:00 p.m.-7:00 pm with a short memorial service to follow, Rev. Terry Krouskoupf officiating.   In honor of Dylan’s passion for sports, the family is requesting anyone attending the services please wear sports apparel to show their support. In lieu of flowers, any memorials may be made directed to the wishes of the family.
