Edna Schubbe

Visitation for Edna P. Schubbe, 98, of Peotone, will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, Peotone, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. John Billow will officiate.
Interment will be in Peotone Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian, Richard, Wendell, Michael, Keith and Luke Schubbe. Memorials may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ, Peotone, Immanuel Women's Fellowship or to Vitas Hospice. She died Sunday (Feb. 17, 2013) at the Bickford of Bourbonnais.
Mrs. Schubbe was a homemaker. She was born April 17, 1914, in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Harm and Anna (Nammen) Kruse. Her husband, Elmer E. Schubbe, whom she married Oct. 8, 1940, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Akron, Iowa, preceded her in death July 13, 1980. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Peotone, and the Women's Fellowship. She loved to bake, sew and make quilts.
Surviving are three sons, Ronald (Susan) Schubbe, of Peotone, LeRoy (Virginia) Schubbe, of Monee, and Clyde (Denise) Schubbe, of Peotone; eight grandchildren, Brian (Sheri) Schubbe, Brenda Schubbe, Jennifer (Richard) Schumacher, Richard (Jessica) Schubbe, Wendell (Lakiesha) Schubbe, Michael (Dana) Schubbe, Keith Schubbe and Michelle Schubbe; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.
