Elizabeth Schuler

Elizabeth “Betty Jean” Schuler, age 77, of Wilton Center, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 19, 2015.
She was born on December 26, 1937 in Peotone, the daughter of the late Robert and Ina (Giles) Barten. She was a retired sales associate at Hansen’s Villa in Manhattan, IL. She was a member of the Wilton Center Federated Church. She loved collecting green glass, sitting in the boat reading, sunbathing, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Charles E. Schuler, who she married on June 22, 1958 at Wilton Center Federated Church; her loving children; Robert (Connie Rose) Schuler of Elwood, Connie Pope of Wilton Center, and Cathy (David) Fausett of Rockford; cherished grandchildren, Amber Bregar, James Craft, Michael and Nicole Pope, Elizabeth, Scott, Jennifer, and Sarah Fausett; adored great-grandchildren, Paige and Maddie Bregar, and Haley and Isaac Craft; and life-long friend, cousin, and S.B.C. (sister by choice), Marlene Jones of Joliet.
Visitation will be held at the Wilton Center Federated Church, 14101 W. Joliet Rd, Manhattan, IL on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at the Wilton Center Federated Church on Saturday, February 28 at 12:00 p.m., Pastor Rich DeVries officiating. Interment will be at Wilton Center Cemetery. Memorials to the family’s wishes would be appreciated.
