Ethan Randall Ullrich, age 26, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an accident on Sunday, August 29th, 2021.
He was born on May 8th, 1995 in Manhattan, IL at the family’s residence. He graduated from High School in 2013 and continued his education at Joliet Junior College studying auto mechanics. He was employed at Bill’s Lawn Maintenance in Frankfort, IL. He was not one to sit still for long and truly loved to keep busy with the physical work and good friends that he made there.
Ethan had many talents. He could take anything apart then put it back together and was willing to fix anything for anyone at any time. He was a gifted musician particularly on the guitar, but in his humility rarely shared that with others. He had an adventurous spirit that made him willing to try just about anything at least once, sometimes more than once. His strong sense of loyalty and willingness to serve and care for others above himself earned him great love and respect from many. Every conversation he held with his mom or dad, no matter how long or brief, ended with “I love you.”
He is survived by his father and mother, Randall Ullrich and Patricia Ullrich; his three brothers, Owen Ullrich, Aaron Ullrich (Hannah Ruckman), and Evan Ullrich; his one sister, Anna (Ryan) Leander; his two nieces and five nephews, Lailah Ullrich, Jude Ullrich, Isaiah Ullrich, Wade Ullrich, Araxie Ullrich, Elias Leander, and Milo Leander. He was also survived by his paternal grandfather, Roger Ullrich; his maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Anne and Hubert Bishop. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Phyllis Ullrich and his maternal grandfather, Herald Toepper. He is also survived by countless, loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other extended family.
A memorial visitation will be held at the Feddes-Helrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, September 3rd, 2021 from 3pm-7pm with a memorial service held immediately after at 7pm, officiated by Dave Alo, dear friend of the family. Due to the mandate by the State of Illinois, the wearing of a face covering is required to enter the funeral home.
