Evelyn (nee Carcelli) Brown, age 87, of Peotone, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL.
She was born on July 3, 1929 in Steger, IL; the daughter of the late Peter and Lillian (Eifling) Carcelli. She married the late Delbert L. Brown on June 19th, 1948 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone. She as a former member of Immanuel United Church of Christ; Immanuel Women’s Fellowship; and former Sunday school teacher for many years. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard.
Evelyn is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Danny (Jody) Brown; 4 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Delbert (1982); her son, John A. Brown (2015); 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 2 brothers-in-law; 1 sister-in-law; and a granddaughter, Danielle.
Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Saturday, December 3 from 10:00-a.m.-11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Saturday, December 3 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Barbara Lohrbach officiating. Burial will be at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee, IL. Memorials to the family’s wishes would be appreciated.
