Heath Doogan

Heath William Doogan, age 51, a 30-year resident of Peotone, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 1, 2022.

Heath was born on November 5, 1970 in Joliet, Illinois. Heath was confirmed at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Frankfort. He graduated in 1988 from Lincoln-Way Central High School. He was a proud member of Local 150! Heath valued spending time with his friends, especially his long-time friends.

Heath is survived by his parents, Bill and Lynne Doogan, his sisters, Shelley (Kevin) Haas and Dawn (Mike) Olson. His niece Ryann Olson and his nephews Tanner Haas, Gavin Haas and Colin Olson. His aunts and uncles, Sandra (Terry) Donovan, Dan (Veva) Doogan, Marla (Bill) Krippel, Louise (Jim) Vainowski, Caren Doogan, Irene Bettenhausen, Jane (Alan) Heatherwick, Bev Coon, Tom (Marilyn) Bettenhausen. He also has 32 first cousins and more extended family.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, William & Louise Doogan and Arthur & Irene Bettenhausen. His aunt, Lois Mather. His uncles, John Doogan, Lloyd Bettenhausen, Earle Bettenhausen, Delmer Mather and Larry Coon.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, July 7 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, July 8 at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Kevin E. Hahn officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. prior to service.
