Irene Manning

     Irene Manning, age 86, of Peotone, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Citadel of Bourbonnais. She was born on May 11, 1938, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Tom and Lionel (Tasca) Minervino. Irene was a graduate of Fengar High School in Chicago. She married Raymond W. Manning on May 3, 1958, at St. Anthony in Chicago, IL. He passed away on January 30, 2014. 

      Irene was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone. She formerly worked at Teresa Frozen Pizza in Peotone for several years and then worked for AIG Insurance in Chicago. She enjoyed working with ceramics but most of all spending time with her family.

      She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas (Katharine) Manning of Bourbonnais, IL and John (Rose) Manning of Cape Coral, FL; 3 grandchildren, Jessica (John Paul V) McCaslin, Neil (Megan) Manning, and Joseph Tafoya III; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter Sheri Manning (October 6, 1996); 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.

      Visitation will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m., Father Thomas Milota officiating.
