J. Franklin Norman, 95, of Peotone, passed away Tuesday (Oct. 28, 2014) at Arden Courts of Hazel Crest.
He was born Sept. 28, 1919, in Peotone, the son of Frank A. and Ada M. (Felton) Norman.
He married the former Eileen Arnold on Sept. 18, 1986, in Monee. She survives, of Peotone.
Surviving are one nephew, Richard (Barbara) Barbour, Kildeer; one niece, Carolyn (Steve Szabo) Barbour, of Greer, S.C.; two great-nieces, Katherine Barbour, of Houston, Texas, and Melissa Anderson, of Chicago.
Mr. Norman was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Peotone American Legion Post 392. He was a retired farmer, a member and past elder of First Presbyterian Church of Peotone and enjoyed traveling around the country via his motor home.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Robert Norman (who passed away in 2002); sister, Lois Norman Barbour (who passed away in 1995); and infant brother, James.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m funeral services Saturday at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home in Peotone. The Rev. Jonathan Krogh will officiate. Interment will be in Peotone Cemetery, Peotone.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Peotone.
