Jacob Baumgartner

Jacob Mark Baumgartner left this world to be with the Lord on May 22, 2019.  He was born on September 25, 1981 to Mark Baumgartner and Doris Baumgartner (Schmidt).  Jacob attended Peotone High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree at Illinois State University and Governors State University.  Jake is survived by his parents; his son, Kobe from his first marriage to Jami Cyrier; Beloved wife Jenna; Brothers: Joshua (Samantha) Baumgartner and Adam (Gina) Baumgartner; Grandmother Valerie Baumgartner.  Loving nieces: Ruby, Delilah, Selena and Sophia; Nephews: Wences and Dominic; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was the grandson of the late Theodor and Elvera Schmidt and Richard Baumgartner.  Jake was a fantastic son, brother, dad, husband, coach and friend to many.  He was the proud owner and operator of Baum Squad Fitness.  He loved making people smile and was known for his generosity.  His big heart, love for his family, especially his son Kobe made him such a lovable guy.  Known by his clients as “Boss Man”, he was passionate about helping others achieve their health goals.  He will be missed by the many family and friends that were touched by his love of life.  Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, 112 W. Main St., Peotone, on Monday, May 27 from 2:00-9:00pm.  Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 540 Oak Park Ave., Beecher, on Tuesday, May 28.  Visitation is at 11:30am, funeral service to follow at 12:30pm.  Pastor Ronald Rock will be officiating.  Donations may be made in Jake’s name to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or the Peotone High School weight training facility.
