Joan, 80, of Peotone, died Monday (Feb. 25, 2013) at her home. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home, Peotone, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Deacon Jim Kelly will officiate.

Interment will be in Peotone Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Butch, LeRoy, David, Brandon and Gage Arseneau, and Jason Walmsley. Memorials may be made to the family wishes.

Mrs. Margwarth was currently working for Russell Publications in Peotone. She formerly worked at Teresa Pizza in Peotone and the Peotone Bensenville Home. She was born March 10, 1932, in Chicago, the daughter of DeWitt and Hazel (Woodbury) Fowler. Her husband, Maurice R. Margwarth, whom she married Nov. 19, 1966, in Peotone, preceded her in death Oct. 15, 1993. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching baseball. She enjoyed playing and watching golf and also enjoyed bowling. She loved her cats, "the girls" Heshe, Annabelle and Alice. She was a gardener and every year grew lots of tomato plants. She was known for being a great cook.

Surviving are seven children, Linda (Arseneau) Walmsley, of Jacksonville, Fla., Karen (Arseneau) Luehrs, of Manteno, Robert "Butch" (Sandra Valero) Arseneau, of Holland, Mich., LeRoy (Pam) Arseneau, of Hillsboro, Kan., David A. Arseneau, of Bradley, Laura A. Margwarth, of Ramstein, Germany, and Donna M. Margwarth, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Wendy (David) Hix, Dawn (Miles) Huddleston, Jason (Jade) Walmsley, Kevin Luehrs, Ann Bivins, Brandon Lee Arseneau and Gage Odell Arseneau; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Elmer "Red" Fowler and DeWitt "JR" Fowler.
