Joe Gordon Jr.

Joe I Gordon, Jr., age 72, of DeMotte, IN, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Franciscan Health in Crown Point, IN.

He was born on November 30, 1949 in Kankakee, IL, the son of Joe I. Sr. and Eleanor (Goodrich) Gordon.  Joe was the plant manager at Nampac, formerly Bennett Industries in Peotone.

He is survived by his wife, Diana (Wilson) Gordon who he married on January 5, 1985 in Monee, IL.  He is also survived by his son, Joe (Kelli) Gordon III of Queen Creek, Az; his daughter, Tonia (Lauren) Gordon of Bradley, IL; his grandchildren, Dakota Gordon, Adyson Gordon, Everly Gordon, Cody Gordon, and Journey Gordon; his sisters, Bonnie (the late Kenneth) Stevenson of Martinton, IL, Peggy (the late Don) Hamann of Kankakee, IL, and Vickie (Gary) Grunstad of Ottowa, IL; his step-father, Nick Vukson; his step-brother, Roger (Pat) LaMore of Bourbonnais, IL; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Juanita Gordon; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Virginia Wilson.

Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 8 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  A remembrance service will be held at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m., Bob Pierucci officiating. Burial will follow at Peotone Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Sign the guestbook at www.feddehelfrichcrossfh.com
