Jonathan Lee Gallaway

       Jonathan Lee Gallaway, age 29, of Rockford, formerly of Manhattan, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 25, 2022. 

     He was born on July 10, 1993, in Joliet, IL, the beloved son of Sean and Vicky (Bettenhausen) Gallaway.  Jonathan was a graduate of Lincoln Way Central High School, class of 2011.  He was confirmed at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Frankfort.  Jonathan worked as a machinist in Rockford and liked farming. He enjoyed listening to music, reading, playing video games, and watching movies. Jonathan was hardworking, kind, good natured, and loved by all he knew.

     Jonathan is survived by his loving parents, Sean and Vicky Gallaway of Braidwood, IL; dear brother of Jaclyn Gallaway of Saint Petersburg, FL; cherished grandson of his maternal grandparents, Dale and Sharon Bettenhausen of Manhattan, IL; and his paternal grandfather, James Michael Gallaway, Sr. of Braceville, IL; adored nephew of Scott (Denise) Bettenhausen of Manhattan, Craig (Erin) Bettenhausen of Manhattan, James Michael (Sharon) Gallaway, Jr. of Bloomington, IL, Tammy (Mark) Santangelo of Manhattan, Colleen Gallaway (Vince Aguilar) of New Lenox, Patrick (Debbie) Gallaway of Braidwood, and Timothy (Brenda) Gallaway of Manteno; and also survived by numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, June Marion Gallaway and by an uncle, Martin David Gallaway.
