Julia Singleman

Julia A. Singleman, age 74, of Peotone, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
She was born on November 20, 1941 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of the late Bert and Bernice (Griffin) Hopkins. She married the late Dennis Singleman on July 1, 1967 in Somonauk, IL. He passed away on April 11, 2013. She was retired from Bennett Industries in Peotone. She enjoyed reading, cheering for the Chicago Cubs, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Julia is survived by three sisters; Jane (Andy) Keisler of Mineral Point, WI, Joan (Barry) Jacobson of Newark, IL, and Jenelle (the late James) Helland of Newark, IL; one brother, Dan Hopkins of Newark, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, June 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, June 24 at 1:00 p.m., Deacon Jim Kelly officiating. Interment will be at Peotone Cemetery. Memorials to Helping Hands of Peotone or Hospice of Kankakee Valley would be appreciated.
