Keith B. Drecksler, age 69, died on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at his home in Goodyear, AZ. with his family by his side. Born December 19, 1946 he lived in Peotone, IL until recently moving to Goodyear, AZ. Keith worked for IDOT for 33 years retiring in 2002. Keith was a Captain on the Peotone Fire Dept. until retiring 2013 where he served 37 years. Keith was also a member of the Safety Team at the Chicagoland Speedway and Route 66 Drag Strip in Joliet, IL. Preceding him in death were his parents Vernon & Margret Drecksler.
Surviving is his loving wife Darlene of 47 years. Son and Daughter-in-law Brent & Angela Drecksler of Goodyear, AZ. Daughter & Son-in-law Shelly & Joe Hall of New Lenox, IL. Five Grandchildren Hanna, Sara & Noah Drecksler and Jenna & Ryan Hall.
A Memorial Visitation to celebrate Keith’s life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 2-5pm at Fedde Helfrich Cross Funeral Home in Peotone, IL. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. with William Beagle officiating.
Cremation rites were accorded.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Peotone Fire Department in memory of Keith B. Drecksler.
