Kenneth D'Andrea

Kenneth Frank D’Andrea, age 73, of Monee, formerly of Peotone and Chicago Heights, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

He was born on October 16, 1941 in Chicago Heights, the son of the late Mario and Nora (nee DeJoris) D’Andrea. He is survived by his wife, Suellyn (nee Gebhardt) D’Andrea of Monee who he married on October 21, 1978 at Sauk Trail Baptist Church in Richton Park. He is also survived by two sons, Kenneth Mario D’Andrea of Manhattan and Brian and his wife Jaclyn D’Andrea of Peotone; grandchildren, Tyler Minyard, Peyton Renaud and expecting Aria and Dominic D’Andrea; one brother, Pastor Edward and his wife Beth D’Andrea of Beecher; one sister, Eddie D’Andrea of Crete; and many much loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Angela D’Andrea Spina; and one brother, Eugene D’Andrea.

Kenneth retired as an asphalt construction worker. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Green Garden and was a boat enthusiast. Kenneth was known as “The Supervisor” because of his willingness to oversee projects at church, home, or wherever needed.

Visitation will be held at Faith Baptist Church of Green Garden, 25800 Center Rd., Monee, IL 60449 on Wednesday, June 10 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Faith Baptist Church of Green Garden on Thursday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m., Pastor Jayson Workman officiating with Pastor Edward D’Andrea and Pastor Bruce Humbert assisting. Burial will take place at Peotone Cemetery. Memorials to the Faith Baptist Church of Green Garden and Beecher Fellowship Baptist Church would be appreciated.
