Larry Jones

Larry E. Jones, age 68, of Manteno, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Margaret’s Mercy Hospital in Dyer, IN.
He was born on October 17, 1946 in Chicago, the son of the late Otis and Marie (O’Daniel) Jones. He was a retired truck driver and very much enjoyed driving trucks. He also enjoyed anything to do with classic cars but got the most joy out of spending time with his grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mary (Rogers) Jones of Manteno who he married on July 22, 1967 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone. He is also survived by his son, Jerry Jones of Manteno; three grandchildren, Jerry Dillon Jones, Easton Cooper Jones, and Trace Richard Jones; extended grandchildren, Miranda, Nathan, and Maziyah; a brother, Don (Joyce) Jones of Kankakee; a sister, Leanne (Larry) McClain of Hidalgo, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary Jones (May 30, 1998); a brother, Robert; and a sister, Lois.
Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home in Peotone on Friday, June 5 from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. Memorials to the Family’s Wishes would be appreciated.
