Larry Shriey

Larry M. Shriey, age 62, of Monee, formerly of Riverdale, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

He is survived by his wife, Diane (nee Parker) Shriey of Monee, his mother, Lillian (nee Kostyn) Shriey of Monee; 4 children, Joseph Shriey of Tinley Park, IL, Michael (Alexandra) Shriey of Houston, TX, Kyle (Paige) Shriey of Clarksville, TN, and Ryan Vida of DeRidder, LA; 4 grandchildren, Joshua and Elena Vida, Cameron Shriey, and Mateo Shriey; a brother, Ken Shriey of Homewood, IL; a sister, Nancy Shriey of St. John, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Shriey.

Larry was a United States Army Veteran.  He was a longtime self-employed painter.  He enjoyed bowling and playing pool.  He loved spending time in his yard by his koi pond, drinking a beer and listening to music; especially the Beatles and Chicago.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A celebration of his life will be announced and held at a later date.
