Marjorie Brockmann

Marjorie C. Brockmann, age 92, of Fulton, IL, formerly of Green Garden Township, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.

She was born on July 27, 1928 in Blue Island, IL, the daughter of Edward and Pauline (Janowski) Snyder.  She married Norbert E. Brockmann on February 19, 1950.  He passed away on December 18, 1988.  She was a farmer’s wife who worked on the family farm.  She enjoyed gardening and raised many ducks and geese.  She enjoyed playing cards and was a member of 2 different card clubs.  She was of the Catholic faith formerly attending St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manhattan, IL.

She is survived by her son, Norbert G. Brockmann of Peotone; her daughter and son-in-law, , Linda (Jon) Cooper of Erie, IL; a niece; and 2 nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; and a sister, Dorothy Janssen.

Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Saturday, October 17 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with a funeral service being held at 11:00 a.m., Deacon Jim Kelly officiating. The funeral service will be live-streamed on the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home Facebook page.  Due to the global health pandemic (COVID-19) the wearing of a face covering will be required to enter the funeral home and social distancing must be observed.  Interment will be at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee, IL.  Memorials to the American Cancer Society in her name would be appreciated.
