Marjorie Colehower

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marjorie Colehower who went home to be with our Lord and her beloved husband Elwood (Colie) Colehower on May 11, 2015 at her home in Miami. Marge was born November 16, 1927 in Kankakee, IL.

She attended Bishop McNamara High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Colie, of 58 years. She is survived by her 4 children; Kaye & Glenn Bishop of Sopchoppy Fl , Mark & Sue Colehower of Peotone, IL. , Scott Colehower, of Miami, Fl. and Kirk & Alice Colehower of Austin, Texas along with 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Leonard & Paulina Lanoue of Houston TX and sister Marie & Ernie Berns of Chandler Az.

She will be remembered for her cheerful, kind spirit who was even more beautiful inside than the gorgeous women she was outside. She was a warm, caring and compassionate person, wonderful helpmate to her husband whom she adored and helped in his many years in the petroleum distribution business in Peotone and a stay at home mother who devoted herself to loving and improving her children’s lives. She was a member of the Peotone Women’s Club and always loved their Christmas Around The World event decorating her home in a different country each year.

In lieu of flowers she would want donations to go to Hospice Of Will County. She will be laid to rest at the Peotone Cemetery on May 16, 2015 with private family services, Rev. Jonathan Krogh officiating.
