Marlynn S. Farmer

Marlynn S. Farmer, age 73 of Herod, IL passed away at home on April 2, 2024.

Marlynn and Glen met in the Christmas season of 1968 at the Ben Franklin Dime Store where she worked. She graduated from Bloom High School in 1969 and they got married on May 20, 1970. Marlynn was a Christian and enjoyed watching her brother-in-law’s church on TV. She enjoyed puzzles, diamond dot art, telling stories, and playing cards with family.

Marlynn is survived by her husband, Glen C. Farmer; son, James (Susan) Farmer; daughter, Sheryl K. Farmer; mother, Mary Goodman; three brothers, James Goodman, Joe (Linda) Tieri, Joe Rebec; three sisters, Sandra (Greg) Stout, Nancy Guy, Sheryl Goodman.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Goodman; son, Glen C. Farmer III.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, IL. Visitation will be from 11-1 on Saturday at the funeral home in Eddyville. The second visitation will be held from 11-12 on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home in Peotone, IL. Burial will follow the service at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee, IL.

Memorials may be directed to the family to help with final expenses.
