Paul D. Madoni

Paul D. Madoni, age 79, of Bourbonnais, IL, formerly of Atwood, IL, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

 He was born on December 25, 1944, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Celeste and Hazel (Eaton) Madoni. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane (Swartz) Madoni on May 26, 2022. 

 Paul was a plumber by trade, working for and retiring from Ford Motor Company in Ford Heights, IL. He was a United States Air Force Vietnam veteran. He was a member of Peotone American Legion Post 392 and the Edgar 829 Masonic Lodge. Paul was a pilot who enjoyed flying his Cessna. He was an avid woodworker making beautiful jewelry boxes and custom-made furniture. He and Mary Jane loved to travel and camp in their fifth wheel with family and friends. Paul especially loved to talk and tell jokes, and he found great joy in going to see his grandchildren’s games and performances.

 He is survived by his brother, Eddie (Johnna) Madoni; his stepchildren, Michael (Stephanie) DeCarlo and Kimberly (Scott) Voudrie; his grandchildren, Deeanna Grimes, Alexander DeCarlo, Joshua DeCarlo, and Sylvia DeCarlo; great-grandchildren, Houston, Legend, Dontae, and Novella Jane; and nieces, Roxann (Larry), Celeste (Jack), Jeanetta (Kurtis), and Erica (Candice). He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Jane; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Brenda Madoni; a sister, Evelyn Delk; a nephew, Terry; and a niece, Debbie.

 A visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with funeral services being held at 12:00 p.m. A masonic funeral service ritual and military honors will also be conducted at the funeral home prior to the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Peotone Cemetery.
