Richard Ernst

Richard D. Ernst, age 74, of Bradley, formerly of Manteno and Peotone, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his home, suddenly.

He was born on August 22, 1943 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Charles and Burl (Wallace) Ernst.  He was a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam.  He was formerly a driver for a bakery in Monee, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Wolkow) Ernst who he married on September 24, 1977 in Crete, IL.  He is also survived by his son, Brian Ernst of Bradley; his daughter and son-in-law, Karen (Kevin) Cosmen of Peotone; and a sister, Donna.

Services will be private.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Burial will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.  Memorials to the family’s wishes would be appreciated.
