Robert Hogeveen

Robert James Hogeveen, age 73, of Manhattan, IL; passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
He was born on July 23, 1941 in Blue Island, IL; the son of the late Andrew and Carole (Gerdes) Hogeveen. He was a retired employee of the South Cook County Mosquito Abatement District and was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Haddow) Hogeveen, who he married on July 29, 1990. He is also survived by two children; David (Diane) Hogeveen of New Lenox and Kristin (Paul) Polillo of Elmhurst; four grandchildren, Andrew and Elaina Hogeveen and Veronica and Samantha Polillo; and one sister, Deanna (Joaquin) Vera of Hazel Crest.
Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, April 3 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, April 3 at 8:00 p.m., Deacon Jim Kelly officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. In lieu of flowers, memorial to PAWS Chicago, 1997 N. Clybourn Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 would be appreciated.
