Roy Joseph Letourneau, 91, formerly of Peotone, died Monday, October 27, 2014, at Lincolnshire Health Care Center in Merrillville, Ind.
He was born May 29, 1923, in Great Falls, Mont. He was retired as a machinist from Cracker Jack in Chicago and was a WWII Navy veteran. He enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed anything electronic and tinkering with them. He was also a Ham radio operator. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone.
Mr. Letourneau is survived by a son-in-law, Keith Orr of Beecher; grandchildren, Jerry (Susan) Orr of Munster, Ind., Tambi (Mark) Kieta of St. John, Ind., Micki (Erica) Orr of Rennselaer, Ind., Roberta Stansu, Thomas Stansu and John Stansu; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Letourneau of Florida.
He married Irene M. Letourneau on September 2, 1967, in Chicago, and she died April 8, 2000. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean Orr; a son, Robert Stansu; his parents, Walter and Marie A. Fluet Letourneau; two brothers, Lloyd and Leo Letourneau; and an infant granddaughter, Kelly Ann Orr.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held with inurnment at Peotone Cemetery.
