Ruth Jean Fretts

     Ruth Jean Fretts passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, in Michigan City, IN at the age of 96 after a life well lived.

     Ruth, formerly of Monee and Steger, was born on July 15, 1926, in Yankton, SD to the late Harry and Ethel Heins.

     She is survived by 4 children; Beverly (David) Reynolds, James Fretts, Dennis Fretts, and Barbara Leach; 4 grandchildren, Adam Klopp, Jennifer Klopp, Brian (Rohanna) Reynolds, and Kevin (Sarah) Reynolds; and 3 great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Arianna Reynolds and Mikayla Klopp. She is also survived by her sister Alice Frendling along with many nieces and nephews.

     Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Ward “Bill” in 1989 and grandson, Christopher “Chris” in 1996.

     Ruth was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Monee serving in many capacities throughout her life.  She truly loved her church and the many friends she made over the years.  Share a memory at www.feddehelfrichcrossfh.com
