Sandra Petreikis

Sandra K. Petreikis, age 78, a longtime resident of Peotone (formerly of Aroma Park), passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 13, 2022. Sandy was the loving wife of Jim Petreikis, Sr for 55 years. She was the beloved mother of Jim (Cathy) Petreikis, Jr., Tony (Laura) Petreikis and Chris (Tara) Petreikis; dearest sister of Walter (Janet) Rokus and the late Nancy (Dick) Christer; cherished grandmother of Brittany (Ryan) Dahlberg, Grant Petreikis, Garrett Petreikis, Kaylee Peteikis, Nathan Petreikis, Nicholas Petreikis, Emma Petreikisand Hudson Petreikis; proud great grandmother of Brady Dahlberg.  Sandy loved laughing and visiting with family and friends. She cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed crafting,sewing, attending auctions, collecting antique dolls and pigs, fishing and watching movies (especially mysteries). Sandy worked for the Illinois State Police for 20 years. Assigned primarily to Peotone's northbound scales, she loved her career and visiting with coworkers.  Although Sandy’s laugh will be sorely missed, her memory will live in our hearts forever!  A visitation for Sandra will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home W. Main St. Peotone IL 60468 on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 2:00 PM until 5:30 PM with a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 5:30 PM, Deacon Jim Kelly officiating. Interment will be private.
