Sherry Peterson

Sherry Ann Peterson, age 56, of Peotone, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at her home.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Saturday, April 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

She was born on August 14, 1961 in Oak Lawn, the daughter of the late Frank and Casimira (Rutkowski) Sternal.  She was employed at Hoosier Park Racing Casino for many years.  She was an equine enthusiast, enjoyed cooking, and especially loved spending time with her family.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Dennis Peterson of Peotone who she married on March 28, 1992 in Oak Lawn.  She is also survived by two children, Mary Elizabeth Peterson and Dennis Michael Peterson both of Peotone; two brothers, Larry (Debbie) Sternal of Bartlett and Glenn (Lisa) Sternal of Lockport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
