Terrence P. Urbanek

 Terrence P. Urbanek, age 85, of Peotone passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Beecher Manor in Beecher, Illinois. Terrence was born August 24, 1938, in Gary, IN to the late Leo and Catherine (Murphy) Urbanek. Terrence worked as a Purchasing Agent at Brewer Sewing Supplies in Chicago until his retirement. Terrence was a US Army veteran.

 Terrence is survived by his wife Mary of 61 years, two sisters, Leona Shear and Ellen Rita (Joseph) Obirek; daughter Noelle (John) Gocal and son David Urbanek; six grandchildren Jim, Chris, Jake (Kate), Danny (Lauryn), Mandy (Lute), and Kenzi; and his great-grandchildren Jason, Jesse, Greyson, Jayde, Ayla, Hunter, and Evelynn. Terrence was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Cathy.

Cremation rites have been accorded.   A memorial visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Sunday, July 28th from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. with a memorial service and military honors being held at 5:00 p.m., Deacon Jim Kelly officiating. Due to the ongoing road construction, Main Street will be closed to traffic. Pedestrian traffic in front of the funeral home will be open and access may be made through the front door. Additional parking will be available in the parking lot of Christ Community Church, 103 W. Corning Ave., Peotone, IL. Entrance then can be made through the back door of the funeral home.
