Virginia C. Wilson, age 76, of Beecher, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Vitas Hospice at Franciscan St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights, IL.
She was born April 22, 1938 in Crete, IL, the daughter of the late Emil and Laura (Hohmann) Buchmeier, Sr. She married the late Kenneth M. Wilson on June 22, 1957 in Monee, IL. He passed away on July 31, 2012. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by 3 children; Diana (Joe) Gordon of Demotte, IN, Steve (Michelle) Wilson of Peotone, and Robert (Toni) Wilson of Beecher. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Joe (Kelli) Gordon III, Tonia Gordon, Kyle Wilson, Wade Wilson, and Samantha Wilson; 4 great-grandchildren, Dakota, Adyson, Cody, and Journey; 3 brothers, Emil (the late Peggy) Buchmeier Jr. of Monee, Lloyd (Tiny) Buchmeier of Crete, and Larry Buchmeier of Monee; 4 sisters, Jeanette Amstien of Warren, IN, Barbara (Doug) Warner of Pleasant Hill, OH, Linda Kiel of Warren, IN, and Cindy (LeRoy) Matthias of Monee; a brother-in-law, Harry (Jan) Wilson of Indianapolis, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 6 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 7 at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Ronald Rock officiating. Interment will be at Peotone Cemetery. Memorials to the family’s wishes would be appreciated.
