Walter Albers Jr.

Walter Henry Albers Jr., age 80, of Monee, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Franciscan St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields.

He was born on December 28, 1937 in Chicago Heights, the son of the late Walter Henry Sr. and Anna (Oehlerking) Albers.  He grew up on a farm in Peotone and was a Peotone High School graduate playing on the school’s championship basketball team.  He was retired after working for several years at Recycle Paper Products in University Park.

He is survived by his children; Kenneth, Stephen, Suzanne and Patricia.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sally; and a sister, Helen.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
