He was a Peotone High School graduate, class of 1950, and a veteran of the United States Navy. William married Joanne (Lahti-Bettenhausen) on April 16, 1986. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Stanley Krapf; and a sister, Koreen Heisner.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the family’s concerns to keep friends and family safe, a private gravesite funeral service will be conducted. A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date. Memorials to the Green Garden United Methodist Church or Hospice of Kankakee Valley would be greatly appreciated.
