William Mutzbauer Sr.

William Peter Mutzbauer Sr., age 75, of Monee, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his home.

He was born on April 9, 1943 in Chicago, the son of the late William C. and Jean Mutzbauer.  He was retired from the Belt Railway of Chicago and was an avid gardener.

William is survived by his wife, Ilse (Hodel) Mutzbauer of Monee; his children, William Peter Mutzbauer Jr. of Homer Glen, Jeany (James) Manning of Peotone, Tim (Mary) Mutzbauer of Darien, Alois Peter Diernberger of Midlothian, and Brigitte Hughes of Wilmington; and 8 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, September 27 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.   Funeral services will be held at the Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Thursday, September 27 at 8:00 p.m., Deacon Jim Kelly officiating.  Cremation rites will be accorded following services.  Memorials may be made to the family’s wishes.
